Is milk to blame for my adult acne?

Published by gracie at 3:36 am under health Edit This

Something huge occurred to me today. I’m supposed to have been drinking five pints of water a day, but instead have managed around 2 pints over the last two days. This is because i’ve becom addicted to both Kahlua and Milk and that horrifically high calorie Mars milkshake (don’t worry, i’ve had the last of the Mars and won’t be buying it again - it’s DANGEROUS!).  Well, coinciding with this new obsession with milky drinks, I developed awful acne spots around my chin.

These spots are not only unsightly, they are also painful. Since i’m 30 and have a job interview tomorrow, this  is a major concern for me. Particularly so as the job in question is in a school!   The only thing that has changed as I have been eating very well, is that I have drank a vaster amount of milk than normal recently.

With this question in mind, I set off to google my suspicions and it seems i’m not the only one that has identified a possible link. According to my research, milk plays havoc with oil production in your skin, thus causing acne. This is especially the case if you have poor skin anyway and you are lactose intolerant.

Oh well, yet another sacrifice (although this one isn’t too bad as it’s fattening!).
